Networking Day

One of the main goals of Juxtapose Art Fair is to support artists working in the artist-run sector. We do this through learning and networking programs, such as our Think Tank discussion groups and Nordic Visitors Program.

This year we have set aside most of Friday, September 1 as a day for our exhibitors to meet each other and our collaborating partners, before the fair opens to the public.

The day opens with the Sustain Workshop, co-hosted by Aarhus Billedkunstcenter and Castlefield Gallery. The workshop is a thought experiment about how our work as artists will be impacted by climate change, and also an opportunity to reflect on why climate questions can be so challenging within the artist-run sector. The workshop builds on lessons learned via Sustain, an online exchange and slow-travel residency led by our two co-hosts.

After lunch, we reconvene for small, self-guided tours of the Platform exhibition. Here the exhibitors will have a chance to introduce themselves and their work through their presentations in Rå Hal.
