Juxtapose is a non-profit association for the artist-run in Aarhus.
We aim to broaden awareness about what the artist-run is, and why it’s important.

artist run: art spaces, organizations, initiatives, and communities that artists run themselves

Since 2021, we have pursued this goal through our core event, now titled Juxtapose Art Fair.

This event is held every two years in Aarhus. It is a large exhibition where 30-35 artist-run organizations present themselves at the main venue (Godsbanen) and at satellite locations throughout the city.

The program includes guided tours, workshops, talks, performances, and family activities, as well as a professional visitors program, discussion groups, and network events for the exhibiting artists.
