Funding Emotions is a duo exhibition with artists Magnus Frederik Clausen (DK) and Kaare Ruud (NO). Both are working with a good understanding of materials and a melancholic humor in each of their respective media, painting and sculpture.
In Magnus Frederik Clausen's paintings of dials and clocks, the brush carelessly drags across the canvas with a feeling of indifference that supports the sluggish repetitions of everyday life. Ruud uses found materials such as garden chairs, sheets, withered plants, tennis socks and toothbrushes to create ties between the reality of the past and the nostalgia of the present.
